1.908 MHz 100 + huge JA FT8 activity

Testing the East Beverage last night on 160m USB dial 1.908 MHz the JA HL digi allocation FT8 Using Flex1500 P-SDR .133  active bandfilter Many JA decoded the Beverage produced similar signals against the inverted-L Possible its direction should be more north-east now it is west / east in line with the ditches or some damage done to cable have to investigate I found the cable protection sleeve compleet filled with clay mud although the sleeve is closed but there are some cracks There was no corrosion on metal parts even the little PCB where the 1:9 transformer was soldered on was still copper colored! This clay builds a conserving layer against direct water intrusion and corrosion  It is a  pity that the nice PSK-reporter map shows only a fraction of what is received.  and does not report WSPR  although it says report all WSPRNET.ORG  is also missing spots, the server is slow and partly off line ALL.TXT   JA calls  1.908MHz . ...

Beverage is up again 630m 474.2 kHz wspr

The Beverage 340m antenna to West is back in the field partly laying on the ground.  The first night 474.2kHz rx results are very promising. Using Flex-1500 port XVTX/c + external active band filter and Beverage antenna 23 spots: Timestamp Call MHz SNR Drift Grid Pwr Reporter RGrid km az # Spots  2019-11-08 00:40   K3MF   0.475797   -28   0   FM19sr   5   PA0O   JO33hg   6162   46   11   2019-11-08 04:16   WA3U   0.475642   -29   0   FM29co   5   PA0O   JO33hg   6130   46   2   2019-11-07 22:52   AA1A   0.475674   -30   0   FN42pb   1   PA0O   JO33hg   5630   49   3   2019-11-08 04:14   W1IR  ...

28.124MHz VK3KCX first decode this season

Sunday morning 28.1246 WSPR USB dial  using FLEX1500 P-SDR 2.8.0.133    dipole    24*7 The combination P-SDR .133  Voicemeeter VAC works much more stable as the VBcable VAC and the earlier P-SDR version. Saturday i missed VK3KCX the flex was at wrong freq. 3 day in a row EU  to VK3KCX  propagation This morning decoded VK3KCX with some power long time not seen 10m WSPR   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iA5NNwpO2wc  De Lubach van de natuurkunde

U3S on the road again

1 week in Jordan short vacation with the U3S lent to me by PD0OHW   1 night stay in the dessert Wilson 10m mobile antenna on a metal pole. The other location was the Hotel in Petra at the balcon At the dead-sea shore hotel location antenna on the balcony  those locations where spotted by FY5GE and EA8BFK!  The hotel in Aqaba KL79 had a good high roof terrace to put the antenna on the fire steps... but i did not dear to put is there unmanned with the GPS blinking LED's .. One could get wrong thoughts about it...                              34 spots: Timestamp Call MHz SNR Drift Grid Pwr Reporter RGrid km az  2019-10-08 16:20   PA0O/M   28.126153   -28   0   KM70rh   0.1   FY5KE   GJ35   9557   274   2019-10-08 16:22   PA0O/M   28.126153  ...

430 - 440 MHz invasion of robots and SOLAR EDGE QRM Machine

In the past years we tried to find one clear frequency in the 430 440 MHz range for a local standby frequency Not a single FM channel can be found clear of junk al kind of data pulses every where pop up Or  repeater outputs in DMR data show up after a few days on a new  found clear channel Simply the whole 10MHz is overpopulated ! now i listen 434.000  unidentified pulses Why do  HAM's  have identify  obligation? Maybe we should also use DMR encrypted and let the software fight it out... Then the SOLAR EDGE SE6k  QRM Machine Was installed 3 year ago at my neighbors 50m north of me It makes my radio deaf for weak signals on all frequencies  specially at 2 4 6 10  12 meters with  a noise band 10 20 dB  and digi trash carriers from MW till UHF Our Agentschap Telecom say once it it installed those systems do not have to comply to any rules?  Last weekend good tropo with inversion duct over the North Sea  i hea...

wspr

This season my 2m station was ready for ES with some more power. Spectaculair ES openings but happening else where in EU to EA8 and even D41CV In my QTH at sea level it was a poor ES and tropo season.  Except end of June 2m tropo  to EA1 and 23cm heard EA2TM 1296855  SK1UHF ES0SHF  beacon´s We suffered unusual 3 heath waves. Temperature went up to 40C in PA no serious rain in months. Last week of August spent in EA6 Costa de la Calma JM19FM It is very beautiful in EA6 but my timing was not brilliant we left  at the start of a 10 day heath wave, the third this year. And missed the EA8 ES 28 August opening to  I guess only south PA...  Warm also near Palma but Tuesday a morning heavy rainstorm  and elsewhere in Spain heavy flooding's reported while in normally cool Groningen the temperature was up to 31 again But it went over without damage here and in afternoon back to 28-30C Took the U3S with me and a Wilson mobile magnet base ...
