WOOW 28 comes alive

CQWWRTTY  I choose for radio. Skipped the Sunday morning  cycle round and the very nice late summer weekend. Propagation looked very promising  with the high solar flux and good results on 28 WSPR the days before. Al-dough that's no guaranty for the next days but! 28 wide open to USA  and Japan the Friday evening late 20UTC  28 open to N-Texas rare! In the CQWWRTTY   not real my preferred mode but  DX-wise interesting. Lot of radioactivity from JA on 28   and  in between  some extra goodies KG6DX  DV1/JO7KMB   W6HGF/KH0    KH2    and   FIJI  3D2EG heard in a giant pile but he was covered to much could only work some more Italians.  Later on 21093 same story.  Those  Pacific area's are very touch to get.  Once there is propagation  we are behind everyone to get there... I was running LP 100W but tried with PA for this occasion to work once Fiji  it did not help. No VK2 heard 28 Sunday  Saturday I was maybe too late   2 VK6 I could QSO     21MHz ZM2B the only zone 32 sofa

28MHz Australia center of the world 10m CW 5W1SA 4W6A

Later  in CW 28.034 KH0/NH2B  simplex(..)  heard but went QRT before I was ready to call 28.008 KH2/N2NL fb operator good signal but worked before. Then 28031 heard 5W1SA  Samoa NNE  almost over the north-pole  signal sounded a bit Auroral not strong 539 but good Q5   I called many times  at the right uplink although he never mentioned he was listening up. But no response  I guess full power from an ACOM1000  is not enough? Then 28.021   4W6A  East Timor     559 569 auroral sound (all signals)     up 5-10  called 500 times  I felt a bit like an idiot. If he can not hear this signal full power  in the 3 ele StepIR   he must be deaf or running hi power in a noisy place?  Even when calling at the right uplink freq. no response. Possible East Timor is not allowed to work PA? Big pile of course  a bit behind the usual wall here but never the less one time I should be in the clear? Why should I push it to the limit trying to work someone  who can or will not receive me anyway?

Netwerkte het netwerk nog nu werkt het net niet

Why do networks always resist till the very last bit to work properly ?

CALL HISTORY FILES ?

In the Russian Radio DX RTTY contest some ham's are exchanging reports including  the operator name  of the station worked. I wanted to do this too. Therefore a call history file must be present in the N1MM logger directory In the contest the associated files. The  call history file can be selected. But this is a special format text file. I could not find a recent file for  use with the Russian radio RTTY f.i. on the internet. N1MM menu option to download the latest check partial file.  master.dta or other xxxx.dta What happens further with this file I have not  figured out yet... possible it is enough to place it in the program directory of N1MM ? This type of file can not be selected in the associated file tap. But that is not the same as the call history file   text format That one can be imported if you have one... I don't   so I could not   set the welcome/ hello om  report here needs more study? the N1MM document is very good  I must overlook something I

Propagation gone again

http://prop.hfradio.org/ Some   days with 160m  decodes by VK2KRR I was Leighs first EU decode with his new Beverage ! A day later WSPR top band was filled with VK decodes by PA0A only 1 decode here with 5W  And  10m  also VK2KRR and other VK's Now the bands seems closed again for DX 80m is jammed by radar / digi  signal  at the 3.5926 28MHz only VK8AW PH57ko  Northern Australia was seen  VK2 and VK6 not seen. The Steppir is temporary   on the ground again. Since the Versatower is used on the Island of Texel I had a problem with it. The reflector did not retract  only after "re-calibrate"   finally the element rolled back in the EHU.. I had to bring it down in the poring rain  last Sunday since the only day I was home. Pity I liked the 17m band  and the signals where better using the 3 ele on 28MHz Other band did not show that much difference. So i have to check check it again.  It did work nice on 10M  dough some time. I am to occupied with QRL  an
