I had some hope for the ARRL 160 CW high expectation but many poor signals with un-answered EU takers . Most  W / VE big guns  just continued CQ . I realize that USA USA traffic dominates the EU.  And only big EU QRO was heard .  Then i started run hoping for W/VE with EU RX antenna ,found a N-A  free QRG  then indeed  got response a few calls relative easy, Until a persistent caller  from let me say an ex - EU country blocked my little run, i send the om a report , no problem if someone, not in contest want a short exchange  But the om kept on calling in slow CW totally unaware of the ARRL160 ? how can you miss this activity my brain was spinning.  That inappropriate calling ended my appetite for the contest and I switched off . I seem to attract lunatics. In previous 160 contests there was a weak carrier that seemed to follow me when moving up or down a bit.    Started  LP but  switched  to HP needed some heating anyway sitting at the radio K3 + ACOM1000  .  Weather in the weekend too nasty to be outside. Mostly looking for outside my zone, 3 point QSO's  no planning for 100% score but during the test i became more and more fanatic fired by the interesting DX workable even on 10.  Had very nice long run USA VE  Sunday afternoon 15 and 20  until 20 became quiet. That was my longest N.A.  run ever, with very good signals  astonished  by the endless  callers from Zone 3 4 5 All zones except 19 and 34 could be worked. For a higher score I should have  spend more time at 40 and 80 and collect more cty multies. But even then i would probably not reach the EU top 50 , So i spend nice  time on 10 for goodies E2E E2A heard well at 10 but even with high power not copied  deja vue too high noise  i guess. Op zoek naar een geschikt LPF / SWR combinatie voor de BLF188 SS-PA op eBay kwam ik de 1KW LPF 100MHz tegen.  Mooi PCB, de 4 spoelen van 3 windingen  naar 2 windingen gereduceerd maken de afsnijd frequentie van 150 naar  200MHz en nagenoeg geen demping op 145 MHz  De 4 spoelen op een kern van 8mm  met een winding minder gemaakt. Mijn huidige SS-PA heeft de eBay Chinese MRF186  100W PCB daar is slim genoeg SWR en LPF  al geïntegreerd. Dat LPF heeft 3x 2 wdg en 2x 33pF ATC.  In de ontwerp fase van een PCB lijkt me dat dat een kleine uitbreiding die het bouwen eenvoudiger maakt.  voorbeeld is de NXP design contest winnend PA PCB ontwerp daarop zijn o.a. SWR power switch  temperatuur sensor geïntegreerd . de 56pF ATC  aan in- en uitgang verwijderd de 3 33pF ATC passen goed, dan is de doorlaat geschikt voor 2M.  Of 1kW haalbaar is hiermee is de vraag maar het lijkt me dat 400W zeker kan   By reducing the 4  3 wdg coil...
