Woow  when I entered the shack at 23:30 CET almost midnight  found 28Mhz still wide open VK2ZMT VK4CZ over no doubt longpath! Why must this be longpath? With a dipole the back and front is equal receiving but the regular morning  North-East path is the dark side of the earth or better said the no-go area for 28 and 50 MHz As we know all too well in North Europe that  we are not hearing any of the 6m DX that can be heard  in the south of Europe for months now. And if the dx path would go over the North-East we would be the first to hear it . We have to wait for Es layer to extend the south EU propagation to us. And then when we finally catch one of those rare ES extend TEP openings we are at the mercy of the south Europeans to get a break in the pile or the DX must have ears for the weaker dx behind the wall. That means all distances have to be corrected  for us in the north the path goes over south Europe and not the other way around So 16452...

My first DX result with the new 5 ele 4M Yagi.. new one in MS FSK441  9H1XT jm75gv QRB  2028 km  a bit far for MS one of the best m.s. distance worked. but right in the first minutes received 2 very strong bursts almost too strong to be true holding several times both callsigns But after that some long weak reflections received only in over 30 minutes and not good decoding  fractions only with R26  but hmm not 100% sure sometimes the random noise displayed likes to favor plausible data like 73 R26 etc..  but then after many empty periods  a clear R26 + call was decoded  and finally a new one in the log Thanks John     I think in the ES season if we have one.. 9H1 will be regular workable I remember long time ago that the first 144MHz  9H was worked in the 70's that was sensational dx then.  I did install the technical preview of Windows10  on a separate HD After some puzzling how to make an boot-able external HD A process that is complicated in Windows.  I had my old W7 HD  backup since replacing it for a SAMSUNG SSD 500G EVO SAMSUNG has its migration tool to move a complete HD  to the SSD ( SAMSUNG SSD only) From a running W7 system without any problem. No need for disk image boot CD. What I was looking for was a simple way to repair my W7 HD where Windows was deleted Just copying back the Windows map is way too simple... Just because some parts are missing the drive had to be reformatted destroying installed software Throwing through the window all the time spend on installing those parts. Making a bootable usb / HD W10  a lot of discussion can be googled  about this subject. more methods can be used but a very simple method does not exist. Easy BCD 2.2 of Neosmart supposed be able to do this easy but I could not find out...

on top 2m/70cm colinear 5 ele 4m dk7zb new HF 40-20-15-10 +6m  4ele combi the 5 ele is a 50Ohm design 3.04m refl. to dir3 the 4 ele is parasitic coupled to the 4band HF dipole ( 9m60 long  40-10m)  matching is perfect f/b is very good  almost too good but no results yet on 4 or 6m  propagation is absent  as before bands are closed picture taken with Nikkon D70S some dust spots internal in the camera anyone knows where and how to clean the optics of this Nikkon? it is not the objective lense  and not the 1/2 reflective mirror the dust is sharp focused and always the same spots
