   The Nordic Activity Contest runs from 18:00 to 23:00 GMT on the second Thursday of each month. It’s supposed to be all modes, but only FT8 activity was observed. Propagation included meteor reflections and some sporadic E. An attempt was made with FT4, but there was no response. PSK reports of my signal   5ele 400W

  The picture is just for reference. My system has different speakers, and the remote is a larger console powered by 1.5V D cells. I’ll share my picture if I manage to find it again. I received this system from an inheritance. There were some problems with it: after switching on, the volume was set to maximum and the remote control responded slowly — panic in the room! The loudspeakers had to be refurbished with new rubber surrounds, as the originals had completely deteriorated. The cartridge of the special linear turntable with servo system no longer followed the groove, seemed damaged, and was very expensive. Presumably this happened during earlier transport; when moving the unit, remove the valuable cartridge and place it separately in a protective box, and use the transport lock.   I drilled some holes in the bottom to let rainwater drain out that could get in through the bearing gaps. My G1000DXC bearing pointer suddenly started moving uncontrollably and then stopped, making further movement impossible. I was able to move it using an external DC 12-20V, but the needle was stuck. Before this, it had issues turning at high speed—first in one direction, then in both. The last time I took the mast down, I saw a lot of water pouring out of the bearing gap. Inside, I found the internal potentiometer damaged, with the positive lead completely corroded and loose.  The 500-ohm potentiometer has 5.6VDC across it constantly when the rotor is in standby, so electrolysis can occur if moisture is present.  Before opening the rotor, turn it to the middle position opposite the end stop; there’s a mark on the top body indicating the end stop position.   500W144 PA  met ART1k6 / of BLF188 De besturing / bewaking van mijn 144 MHz SS-PA had ik  een paar jaar geleden voor een Arduino NANO gemaakt. Werkt prima bewaking van SWR , maximaal stuurvermogen en PWM koeling. Gemaakt met de methode knippen en plakken van bestaande software. Maar het kan ook gegenereerd worden door A.I. Marten PA3EKM gaf me die tip. We hadden een SWR  power monitor nodig voor de 70cm PA van PI4GN in "no-time" genereerde AI een Arduino programma hiervoor ook nog met een kleuren display.  Ik gebruik daarvoor de MS Edge Copilot en simuleer de software in WOKWI simulator De bestaande Arduino besturing heeft een klein OLED display Ik genereerde de progress bar met Amstrad extended ASCII dat gaat ook.  26 QSO in CW USB. Op zaterdag wat zwakke signalen uit Engeland, in de avond haast geen signalen meer. Dit was geen FT8 dat was duidelijk...  Op 70MHz is men in Engeland heel actief , voor een grote contest zoals deze IARU R1 24uur zoekt men daar goede locaties op zoals hier M0ICK/P IO84SA ik had QSO nr 4 Michael al 41! . Maar ook op de activity avonden op de Dinsdag avonden van de de maand zijn veel Engelse stations actief . Zo kon ik op de 2e dinsdag  van juni op 1 avond in een paar uur tijd 100QSO's op 70cm 432 MHz in CW USB hoofdzakelijk G's maar ook SM7 6 OZ SP OK DL   zoek  voor de agenda op : https://vhf-uhf.veron.nl/contesten/contestrobot/   On 70 MHz activity in England is very strong. For a major contest like the IARU R1 24‑hour , operators look for good locations, such as M0ICK/P IO84SA . I had QSO number 4, while Michael already had 41! Adif upload naar kaart , ik ben bezig om achterstallig QSL  nu via e-QSL te doen,  met AI ! heel modern dus... Met grote Adif bestanden word het wel traag. Het is met deze manier  bevestigen van QSO's eigenlijk ook wel leuk om te zien in behoorlijk detail waar de tegenstation's  zijn. En dan maar muisklik om een QSO te bevestigen. De papieren QSL's zijn ook haast niet meer te handhaven de mooiste kaarten staan in grote dozen te verstoffen. Automatisch bevestigen zit er niet in , RSI ligt op de loer..
