Power-SDR Flex1500 WSJT-X - v2.8.0.57 2x

Now since using VbCable for the virtual audio connections
P-SDR + WSJT v1.8 is working stable on the older X60 PC
reducing CPU load using the information excellent ke9ns.com/flexpage.html
Keeping the P-SDR screen as small as possible reduced the CPU load to acceptable 60%

P-SDR  and running 2 instances of WSJT-X  need a faster PC
A "slow" PC  drops decodes when  Power SDR is running together with
a second instance of WSJT-X
CPU load is 80-100%  on Lenovo X60  2400T  1.83GHz
On a faster Thinkpad W510 W7 i7 1.83G 4 /8 core CPU load 20%
Using  VBCable VB-Audio VAC  and VspMgr
Installing was quick but P-SDR -FLex1500 would not receive, the PAN window was empty.
The Flex1500 was connected over USB-3  - CAT  worked okay.
Switching to USB-2  finally P-SDR started to work  and WSJT-X was decoding FT8 and WSPR

But the  PowerSDR screen is cut off  and  fields and controls are overlapping.
The  screen resolution dot/inch  setting 125% is fine for the PAN screen and my programs.
If I change that to 100% possible P-SDR is fine but the other screens will have shrink too much
Another issue is at   136kHz  empty PAN screen but it does decode  WSPR  2E0ILY  and PA0A
Another strange issue  P-SDR the audio level at WSJT-X drops to zero on 160m
also the headphone audio out is quiet at 160m
Now also the audio is gone on 136kHz both physically and virtual.
Or the level is very much lower then on other bands. It can be set higher but then the other bands audio levels are in the red zone.
Level settings are general for all bands

P-SDR seems to receive normal according to the pan window
I did not have that at the other slow X60
Stange things happen
136kHz  empty pan screen

Decoding is okay  the strongest signals +30dB do not have the usual 50Hz IMD lines
thats looks fine until now strong signals always showed multiple traces and decodes  at +/- 50Hz IMD traces accompanying the main trace

other bands fill the screen but all is drawn a bit wrong.

28MHz ! earlier today

few days earlier :
Power SDR V2.8.0.57   now runs 1  day without problem
But not much longer then i have  the issue that WSJT no longer decodes
P-SDR receiving looks  normal on the waterfall and audio over VAC is present at WSJT
but simply it stops to decode, then only rebooting the PC will help.
Also  found the PC next morning  in the reboot state when returning to the radio after some longer time.
So some nights spot reporting ended preliminary.

One other observation  i have with U3S  originated WSPR signals
is that a there is sometimes a rubbish ghost decode   like 000AAA/1  below
i notice that on a local U3S  WSPR beacon regulary
One of the U3S I have build is in use  PD0OHW/M   and PA0O/A
and sometimes decodes like below happen synchronous with the correct decoded spot

Flex1500    IC3 is the preamp ADL5531   middle under just above the yellow tantalium C  this IC3  was damaged by high RF and also one protective GBLC03C was burned out   that happened when TX-in at 50MHz while the Flex1500 had als a nearby 50MHz antenna.. I did this repair myself the 2nd time the RX was deaf...  but it was not easy bol-grid array with base ground ..

2011-01-22 DIAMOND 2m 70cm 1m30 Colinear inside

Having relative poor signals on the local 70cm / 2m channels using this X50 Diamond collinear 70/2  1m antenna at a height of 25m. I needed to investigate what could be wrong. Measuring the cable only 3W is left for the antenna of the 10W 435MHz output from a IC451E The cable is 30m type H100 Z50 10mm outside diameter it is semi air-spaced but has an impossible 4mm² solid CU inner conductor not much air left. I preferred the H43 Z75 cable having lower loss and mechanical better ratio in conductor size. My antenna uses SO239 connector UHF type semi air spaced isolator.  3W should be enough for a comfortable noise free FM signal. But only 27km away at PA0A the signal is weak too weak something must be wrong? I made a simple reference dipole of 2x17cm CU wire. With this dipole the signals where totally worse. So the Diamond does work? I got curious to look inside. Maybe moisture penetration degraded the antenna. This  antenna is rainwater close in its n...

SPF5189z Low noise preamp 23cm

14-4-2018 updated Above the low noise  preamp 50 - 4GHz    ebay  6€ Tested  2 small porto antennas 1 Baofeng UV antenna left   2nd best signal on PI2NOS 2 eBay DIAMONDSRH805S  wide band 144/432/1200  it works for its size as expected 3 piece of wire :   best signal in the setup... Unit under test at workbench. It was stable  50mA  at 5V   few days,  but sudden the current went up to 100mA And i could  no longer adjust it with the negative bias Voltage. The - Voltage went to zero and the SPF input port became low Z. This SPF5189z was broken  no oscillations, no input overload just it broke while i was receiving the PI2NOS 430.125 using a small antenna at the workbench. The specs of  SPF5189z  say it has an internal circuit  regulating the bias current. Replaced . again   with an other of the 5 spare SPF i have. The new one again could be adjuste...
