27 and 28 March Aurora no WD2XSH/17 decodes
last night with repaired antenna 25 March
50+ decodes again
strongest -9 no other TA signal here
Desktop QTX s QRP but been decoded by WD2XSH/17 and N1BUG
WD2XSH/17 last night 14 decodes rather weak -23dB at best
Today in beautiful weather I showed my antenna's to Marten PA3EKM he brought me the right type s left - right manipulator switch for the 630m tuner.
Then saw the W- Beverage was broken most of the wire laying on the ground and in the ditch but it still receives.
but first time spotted in EA8
Now with the IRFP4227 in the QTX instead of the IRF540Z types
I had no more blown FET's even not with a short in the coax
It is fail save now.
And easier remote tuning the Variometer with a motor left right switch .
Needed a double pole switch with neutral mid position.
But those switches appear to be hard to find
A single pole manipulator switch with 4 relais Arduino unit can do it
The motor in the tuning unit at the base of the L antenna is 0.5 rpm at 12V
At 5V over a 100OHm resistor even slower 0.1 rpm
The meter is antenna current indication for max tune direct conected with
the Hagenuk Variometer Strom Wandler.
The whole control could be nicely done with Arduino
Including V A Ant. current and Power display.
That's is a new project
