yes surprize 15m has been closed to NA last contests
Some critics read about the operating of this expedition but not me they hear me right away.
What more can you ask from a dx-pedition.
Update log takes more than usual for not such remote location maybe.
heard weak and fading out in afternoon
i thought that was it for today ...
but now in darkness USB 21210 to 55 good copied in Phone
I was heard with 20W at first call ! driving power of not needed PA
I switched on my PA as i was used not being heard by other expeditions ...
Being good copy but a RS55 "only"
I was convinced I could never make it without hi power.. so the PA was heating up..
but 100W is sufficient for this excellent expedition!
They are excellent receiving and seem to run relative low power just the way i like it..

came back in the shack 22:22 after watching TV.
14020 CY9C 599 real but a giant EU pile
most callers up 4 14024 or above
no chance I thought I call below the pile at 14023 a clean frequency
100W and he comes back after 2! calls
amazing for me when thinking of the endless calling I did and no result with other expeditions
having a solid 599 equally with me but never a response after hundreds of calls with high power.
Some expeditions right away from the start i know from the way they work it will be tough.
a. They only pickup the loudest and longest callers.
b. Always give there call and qrz standard sequence while already in a huge pile so only the stronger signals make a chance. And I know my area in EU is not the best place for putting huge signal strength's . DL OK I YU S5 YO will always win in the pile.
c. They want to work with area's like JA only while the propagation favorises EU and vice versa
d. They call by numbers
e They answer with fraction of calls causing even more hams calling when they should listen.
Yesterday Swallows gathering in the antenna for the last time, today they left heading south.

Saint Paul Island expedition
CY9C QRT ze zullen wel niet tot DX-Expedition van 2016 worden gekozen
er was nogal wat minder lovend commentaar te lezen op de clusters.
Maar mijn ervaring was goed. Ik kwam zonder moeite in het log op alle frequenties waar ik CY9C hoorde. 10m en 80m waren helaas afwezig voor mij
en de relatief gemakkelijke banden 12m en 17m daar ben ik niet QRV
Slechts heel kort even op 80cw gehoord gelijk QRT, wat langer met phone 75m
blijkbaar hadden de operators geen smaak voor 80m. Het zou zeker een extra band zijn geweest.
Het RTTY QSO waarvan ik zeker ben op 10137kHz daarvan is blijkbaar het log verloren gegaan.
Was niet echt op QSO jacht maar bij deze expeditie was gemakkelijk in het log te komen.
100W slechts 1 a 2 keer roepen op 40m LSB 20m en 30m
op 40m CW net afgestemd en gelijk qrx "15m" had nog niet eens een aanroep gedaan
dat was de 2e keer dat ze na afstemmen direct QRX/ QRT gingen.
Klein uur later terug nu in phone 7140kHz QSX 7160kHz
Mijn draaibare dipool heeft een hoge SWR hoog in de band
Ze waren niet zo sterk 57 en een beste pileup natuurlijk
Maar slechts 2x de call op 7160 gelijk raak
Het kan verkeren dat verwachte ik niet.
Het is natuurlijk vanuit PA niet zo moeilijk deze locatie bij Halifax maar aangezien echte DX niet voor mij bestemd is ben ik hier al heel blij mee..
