Last 3 years of the ARRL10M
ARRL10M 2012
Band QSOs Pts Mul
28 81 324 39
Total 81 324 39
ARRL10 2011
Band QSOs Pts Mul
28 916 3664 164
Total 916 3664 164
ARRL10 2010
Band Mode QSOs Pts Mul
28 CW 35 140 19
Total Both 35 140 19
btw CW only
No high expectations for the ARRL10M. WSPR reports became worse and worse the week before.
Ironically, Monday evening WSPR showed K1JT and other State side decodes again.
QSO number 1 ZL1BYZ was promising but propagation poor
No Rusians very quiet band only one VK4WIL very thin workable.
I was mainly S&P for the goodies.
JA5FBZ long time good signal over LP the only JA.
Something strange about these LP openings to JA only few JA's heard but good signals. Short path was closed complete here.
One would expect a lot more signals from JA and Long path to JA means 24000 km? a real long path.
This longpath propagation must be appearing more often without being noticed. It seems to happen only during contests.
WSPR does rarely report LP I can only remember VK decodes in the late evening 10m LP no JA.
Sunday some more JA over LP in a quiet band.
BD7LMD strong echo spooky propagation.
VY2ZM and VY2TT the only NA worked/ heard
Some SA
CE1/K7CA very weak but worked
PJ2T P40CX ZF1A
Africa ZS1 ZS6 V5 D4C
the rest was backscatter EU
Saturday the QSO count was only 41 when the band closed already.
Sunday very early band close.
Final 80 QSO by S&P
ZL9HR worked 21035 very weak here but relative easy heard
3 QSO ... the 3rd time finally could hear my callsign clear..
They went QRT today
so have them 40 20 15 CW only
bad luck with propagation VK0TH last year May caught a better time.
ZL1TM 3506.5 cqcq 529 good copy tonight almost
no takers last 2 days decoded by VK7DIK and VK2UB several times so propagation was not that bad at 80
http://www.qsl.net/pa0oos/recall/zl1tm_80_1.mp3
I have impression that there could be some propagation to VK9HR on 80M on some evenings to Europe.
But the times I checked in the evenings at SS/SR peak I never heard or saw them reported. But if so there would be a EU chaos preventing a QSO anyway.
Still monitoring 137.500 WSPR
G8HUH is the best DX I receive
still hoping for a trace from WE6GXR 10W ERP maximum legal power was not enough to decode
137kHz is a QRO band 10W ERP is still QRP
Dk7CF was decoded tonight in Canada 4 times already !
what is he running there?
WSPR is a DX competition of course...
it looks that DK4XI changed his locator to get on top of the list
haha good humor 80m was relative good Saturday night

The “penny only dropped” after our brief contest 10m CW QSO this afternoon.
I think you are the 1st fellow blogger I have worked on HF.
Conditions were not good, but had fun all the same.
