3D2AG FIJI XE1H 60m good propagation

Early morning  5.35700 MHz  JT65 long path 3D2AG  heard CQ! 3D2AG     Fiji Antoine is very active at 60m and consequent present for EU at gray line peak local  07- 08h A few mornings no copy here, but this morning propagation was real good for a change and  decoded -18 3D2GA CQ several times. Yesterday 1 decode for a start , my antenna the inverted V dipole  top @ 20m  was not as good as thought. Tuesday we had  26C   "tropical" day and night  possible the last real warm day this year now 7 am  the  expected rain arrived  no t-storms  and we need water  but not as much as Texas has please.. JT65 is the best mode the signal of 3D2AG would be too weak in FT8 i think also JT65 QSO with XE1H  copied  for first time Like WSPR -map , https://pskreporter.info/pskmap.html shows path and calculates DX over daylight zone. According to realtime DX maps I never have long path propagation  I have seen 10m long path drawn over the night side of the globe  and  160m

QRP-LABS 5Watt PA

Still struggling to make a "simple" 5Watt PA for the 1.8 - 50MHz range The QRP-LABS IRF510 5W PA  will not deliver more then 1W at 28MHz not to speak of 50 MHz there it is an attenuator. The U3S LPF needs to be terminated with real load to keep the signal a bit decent. Using the RD15HVF1 Mitsubishi did bring just a little more. 3-4 W at 28  and 1.5 W at 50MHz The QRP-LABS PCB has extra pads for the  RD15HVF1 that have crossed drain and source. The RD15HVF1  source the middle pin and cooling flange direct screwed a heathsink. The cheap eBay RD15HVF1  are fake  IRF510  stamped as RD15HVF1 The real RD15  has low Gate capacity  approx 83pF   while the IRF510 has 400pF or more and the source and drain are crossed. eBay is poisoned with  fake transistor sellers. Like  5 pcs RD15HVF1 5$  good quality ... The specs of the ( REAL) RD15 look perfect, too good  to be true! FEATURES High power and High Gain: Pout>15W, Gp>14dB @Vds=12.5V,f=175MHz High Efficiency: 60

50MHz EME JG1TSG

                                      7 ele 9m30  22m a.g. with August Swallows gathering. The 223 element above 2 ele 6m might absorb some 6m RF, if so i should be able to notice shorting or open  the 2 el cable  on weak signals i think but i could not yet notice any influence on the received noise or signals but it picks up a lot RF at TX 6m .                                     With this 7el V-dipole antenna  it was the first EME QSO  using WSJT-10 my 3rd EME QSO entity after K2ZD W7GJ  2010 EME is a good test for the antenna and receiver. I did not receive much just enough to decode. 231531  Transmitting: JT65A   JG1TSG PA0O JO33                       231600  0  -33  0.7 -355 38                                       231800  0  -30 -1.9  533 30                                       232000  2  -25  1.8   30  3 #      PA0O JG1TSG QM05    OOO   0  10 232000  1   1/11                   PA0O JG1TSG QM05          0  10 232107  Transmitting: JT65A   JG1TSG PA0O JO33 OOO

Ponyprogging ATMEGA328 U3S

No more 6m signals from Japan  time  to finish some projects After faulty applying  12V on the QRP-LABS U3S smoke came from the BS170 Display back-light ceased out U3S was dead did not boot the ATMEGA328 was blown. Placed the working U3S in its case Applied  power on it but forgot to check the Voltage  major mistake. The ATMEGA and the BS170 where smoked but no other damage The  Si5351a Synthesizer board has its own 3V3V regulator that protected it The QLG1 GPS rx was not yet connected besides its chip has it own 3V3 So i had to program a new  ATMGA328   with U3S V312.hex The ATMEGA328 was programmed  with an other device verified okay But it would not boot. I had to use my own ISP Ponyprog and SI-IO interface Ponyprog V2.08d beta has the ATMEGA328 in the device list Earlier version not. With SI-IO to the U3 SPI socket it first failed to see the 328. 2 things where wrong: 1.The U3 Reset needs R3  100k  (91k)   not the jumper to +5 2. Had to remove C1 on C
